Eng. Rana Maali holds a BSc in Networks and Information Security Engineering from Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), Jordan, earned in 2024, and a MSc degree in Cybersecurity and Machine Learning from the University of Aberdeen, United Kingdom, completed in 2025. Her master’s thesis focused on cyberbullying detection and fine-grained classification on social media text using large language models, emphasising resource-efficient adapter-based methods and hybrid conditioning techniques that perform reliably under realistic compute constraints. Eng. Rana’s research interests lie at the intersection of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, with particular focus on applying language models to online safety, hate-speech mitigation, and resource-aware, trustworthy AI systems. She remains committed to developing practical, robust AI-driven solutions to current digital threats.
