Dr. Hussam A. Al-Shammari is a Professor of Strategic Management and International Business. He earned his Ph.D. in Strategic Management and International Business from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2006, following an MBA and a B.Sc. in Management from Yarmouk University in Jordan. Professor Al-Shammari has more than two decades of academic experience spanning the United States and the Middle East. Since joining IUP in 2006, he has held several faculty roles, progressing from Associate Professor to full Professor in 2011. Prior to his tenure at IUP, he served as a lecturer and instructor at the University of Texas at Arlington, Yarmouk University, and the Hashemite University in Jordan. Professor Al-Shammari’s research focuses on corporate governance, executive leadership, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and international strategic management. His work has been published in leading journals such as the Journal of Business Ethics, Management Decision, Frontiers in Psychology, and the Journal of Business Research. He has co-authored influential studies examining the psychological and strategic dimensions of CEO behavior, especially in relation to CSR and firm performance. Professor Al-Shammari is a member of several prestigious academic associations, including the Academy of Management and the Academy of International Business. He also serves as a reviewer for top-tier journals such as the Journal of Business Research and the Journal of Small Business Management. Fluent in English and Arabic, Professor Al-Shammari brings a global perspective to his teaching and research, bridging Western and Middle Eastern approaches to strategic management and organizational behavior
